Dear Gurus, I am a beginner in VB. I would like to create an exe file that detects the PC for a specific software. If the software doesn't exist, it will prompt the user to install the software and start installation. Otherwise, it will proceed to other activities. The details are as follow: I developed a voice enabled CD that requires specific software. The autorun.inf will call the exe file to detects the user's PC for the software. If there is no such software, it will ask the user to 1st install the software by prompting the installer. Else, it will run the activities in the CD. Any sample codes and suggestions are highly appreciated. Hope to hear some reply soon and thanks in advance. Rgrds, Janice
